Frankensteins Daddy!


The B20 shares all dimensions with the B18b, except bore size. B18b is 81mm bore x 89mm stroke. The B20 is 84mm bore x 89mm stroke, an increase of 3mm bore!!

All  mods covered in the B16/18b sections, are applicable to the B20, in addition to a clutch upgrade.  The B20 produces alot more torque right through the  2000rpm-8200rpm range than the B16, or even the B18b,making it very driveable even out of vtec!!

We experimented with a fully built, 14.5:1...2020cc ...B20 vtec in our black EK4.

This motor used 85mm WISECO pistons,EAGLE rods, SKUNK2 stg3 cams & valvetrain,DICKTATOR EMS,TODA ITB's,custom ported head, TODA exhaust manifold & 63mm two box system. This was mated to an INTEGRA TYPE-R gearbox, and used a 50/50  mixture of 95octane pumpfuel and Toluene.

The B20 made 132kw & 235nm OTW @ an altitude of 5500ft (JHB) above sealevel !!
